Goal!!!

I was watching the movie 'Goal' (pretty late but still atleast now i did) and i was totally rooting for this Santiago guy to win.. The very portrayal of his character and his hardships is simply fascinating.. The way he overcomes these hardships is worth to be remembered.. But this is not a movie review that i am doing.. More than the goodness of the movie, the thing that struck me the most is the similarities that we see in real life..

Even if you have the skill and get the opportunities to perform, there is something other than just these two that make a person tick in life and that is luck.. When Santiago had given up and started to leave for LA, luck had his taxi go and pick up his fellow Newcastle player and that changed things for him.. All this re-iterates the fact that you would need something extra, something more than just your hard-work, skill and opportunities to excel in life.. Goal pretty much summarizes all these and a good movie i guess everyone would have watched by now.. If you havent then you are never late to catch up..
